[ THE.BRIEF ]

Show SHAYQ’s atelier quality and demonstrate how suits could be worn casually and expressively. The photography needed to present tailoring as part of contemporary personal style.

[ MY.ROLE ]

  • casting: worked with two artists in a real relationship to support natural interaction.
  • art direction: contributed styling input and chose backgrounds for the outfits.
  • lighting: set up the lighting myself.
  • photography: directed the poses and photographed the series.
  • application: the finished images were used on social media.

[ DIRECTOR’S.NOTES ]

  1. CASTING

    We chose two artists who were in a relationship. I wanted the posing to feel natural between them.

  2. ON SET

    I helped shape the styling, chose backgrounds for the outfits, set up the lighting, and directed the poses. The brief was to show SHAYQ’s atelier quality and a more casual way to wear a suit.

[ THE.INSIGHT ]

We cast two artists who were a couple, which helped the poses feel natural. We wanted to show how good tailoring could work with casual styling.

[ THE.SYSTEM ]

I contributed to styling, chose set backgrounds for individual outfits, set up the lighting myself, and directed the poses. Color, casual styling, and relaxed body language carried the brief into the photographs.
