[ THE.BRIEF ]

One of the cofounders hired me to photograph a curated selection of tees and hoodies for Tomorrow’s Laundry, a subscription label delivering men’s luxury essentials. The images were intended for the brand’s website and social media.

The location was provided. I chose different settings within it to show where someone might wear the clothes, moving between domestic interiors and outdoor spaces. For the portrait of the curly-haired model on the couch, I used a Profoto umbrella through a diffuser. It remains one of my favorite photographs I’ve made.

  • Finalized casting, styling, shooting positions, and lighting within the supplied location.
  • Directed the poses and photographed the collection.
  • Selected and retouched the finished images.

Commissioned by a Tomorrow’s Laundry cofounder. The location was supplied; I directed the shoot and handled photography, selection, and retouching.

[ DIRECTOR’S.NOTES ]

  1. LIGHTING

    I used a Profoto umbrella through a diffuser for the portrait of the curly-haired model on the couch. It’s still one of my favorite professional shots.

  2. SETTING

    The location was provided. I chose where to shoot within it, using different rooms and outdoor settings to show the clothes in everyday situations.
